Slow Cooker Fascination...
I've been having a slow cooker fixation for a while, and finally went out and got one on impulse the other day. Wasn't sure what size but figured a 5.5L would cover most things and I could just double recipes if needed. So the Breville Slow Cooker is still on the floor in the kitchen as the recipe book is CRAP. Not enough ideas or how to put things together..just some recipes which I didn't find inspiring. Luckily today I've picked up a slow cooker book for $15 which has a million and one recipes in it..so now I am reading all about how to bake potoatos (kinda like in a fire really) to making jambalaya.. I think I will be having a go at Easy Chicken Coq Vin, Sloppy Joes, Sunday Roast and Potatos and Peach Crunch. I also bought Dan "The 4 ingredient cook book" in the hopes that dinner will be done by the time I get home from work on his days off ! :)
