thoughts on the ending of code geass. spoilers for r22 and the preview of r23. mostly opinion and speculation, and all in one big confusing pile.
i have this foreboding feeling that lelouch's master plan is to become the LAST emperor of Britannia. to etch into his people's minds the atrocities he can do with all the power he possesses - so that the monarchy will be abolished completely? all his actions - denying his closest friends, abandoning them, saying goodbye to kallen, i think it all leads to something big. he wants them to hate him, so that they don't feel any pain when he dies in the end??? or something like that.
he wants everyone to hate him? is he/+suzaku planning to carry the evils of the world on his/their shoulders? we're only a couple of weeks more, sunrise, it feels like you're rushing things.
he acts as if he wants to make sure that he does become enemy of the entire world - so he severs any ties with his comrades so that they will be resolved to destroy him utterly, with no further hesitation. so that after his plans have been fulfilled, and i think he doesn't plan on surviving that, they will move forward without looking back at what they were, what they used to be, and move on with no regrets.
he says he plans to overshadow the massacre princess - so does that mean that he plans to do something greater than kill thousands of japanese in 10 minutes?
gosh bismarck - marianne was more loved than we thought.
nunally... though i mourned thee, i wish you'd stay dead. the dogma is true, ne? Noone is confirmed dead until we see the body. Schneizel, what are you planning? Did you give Nunnally the whole truth or a half one? What do you want to accomplish? why is Nunnally holding freia with a picture of the gang - when she can't even see the picture in the first place? now, lulu, that you've learned that she's alive after all, what will you do now? i think you and suzaku have based all your plans on the fact that nunnally is dead. on the fact that you think that there's no point on living without your sister - so you at least want to make the world nunnally's wished for, a gentle world, before you try and join her - although you don't really plan on doing that, don't you lulu? with all you're planning on doing you think your soul will be so damned you'd never be able to go anywhere someone as good as nunnally went?
to send your soul to hell for your sister. ah, sibling love.
if she was geassed to blindness, can orenji give back her sight?
i do see her becoming the leader in the end though. that would be a good ending - but minus the schneizel. cornelia, not so sure. i don't think she's the type to manipulate eithers. i do think she'd be dedicated enough - to give nunnally all the love she could no longer give to euphemia.
what is schneizel's motive? does he REALLY want nunnally to become the emperess? or is he really evil and plans to set her up as a puppet?
i keep imagining what the last scene would be. it'd be all quiet, where eveyone is going out and looking into the sunlight, as if they were seeing it again for the first time after a long terrifying storm.
i don't know if i'd be happy, or extremely sad in the end. we've been trolled, and mindfucked - and yet i've enjoyed this series a lot. i plan on seeing this through to the end, because after then i think i can finally move on with the rest of my life. sunrise had better give us a good finale.
has geass been screwed into my memory? i wouldn't know if that was true or not until time has passed after the end. but it has given me a lot to think about, on politics, on psychology, on the reality of truth and lies. what is truth to one may be a lie to others. there is no such thing as absolute good and evil, black and white, only gray, some grayer than others, and others almost white.
btw, i really want to kill tamaki right now. get a clue please. also, i want an emperor lulu icon. XD i think he looks great in white. the hat looks kinda funny, but the white compliments his complexion more than black does.
