QUESTIONAIRE OF DOOM
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
He's not too tall, about 5'7". He's "Asian" and therefore his frame is fairly typical to that, and actually a bit more broad than your usual Japanese, however he's slender. He's not a muscle machine by the looks of it but he is nicely toned.
2. How old is he?
In all actuality he's somewhere between 1000 - 1200. He was born in around the era of the first crusades. He doesn't look over 25.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
It all depends, but rarely does he carry himself with a srsbsns sort of feel. Often the way he carries himself is very cool and confident. It's not a full slouch but it's not a I R 4CEREAL straight as a washboard sort of thing. Though when his posture cleans itself up that's usually a sign of you're in a lot of shit because he is extremely fucking angry or something serious is happening.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Tip top shape, he's in. More so now that he just braved a huge epic war and all. He's a demon so his human form isn't exactly effected by the amount he smokes and drinks because his human body is just a host. It is EFFECTED by means of getting kind of wasted, but it's already dead so it can't really die from that sort of thing.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Like a badass! Again, depends. He's usually pretty good on his feet. He's not graceful; I'd go more with fluid. He moves in that sort of way that tells you he's someone who's on high alert without being completely tense. His posture and movements say to one that he could easily deal with a sneak attack at any given moment. Calm but always ready for the changes that are bound to happen to his environment. Given the time, this can change.
If there's a huge threat and he's actually really kind of scared then his movements might become more tense. Also, if he's becoming exhausted his movements will get more tense. If he's drunk as shit, just woke up, or something else that might have someone a little not all too coherent than he can be pretty clumsy.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
He comes off thinking he's hot shit a lot more than he actually does and this is probably because he knows what lays beneath the human host he's taken. He knows that if you cut the skin there's rotting muscles and maggots and worms. He knows that if you look inside he's dead. The outside, the skin deep of his appearance though is pretty good looking so he can bluff and fake it enough to really believe it sometimes. He is fairly attractive on the outside. I think most people could agree that he's not BAD looking even if he's 'not their thing'.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Smooth and flawless mocha skin is what lays on the outside, baybeee.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
His hair is short. Not buzzed but 4 inches long at max. It's been bleached out and dyed vibrant fire red. On occasion he'll leave parts of it black and have parts of it red but it's usually that fire red color all around (though you can often see the roots). Often it's up in a spiked mess.
9. What color are his eyes?
Red, red hellish eyes. His irises are a lot larger than normal human one's and his pupils are slit like a reptile's. If you take a good enough look at them, depending on your character, you can literally see Hell in them.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Aside from the smell of sulfur and maggots and worms that can occasionally accompany him (unless you slit him in half because then they'll just go everywhere); not yet, but he probably will eventually.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
He doesn't really have any? He's pretty solidly made.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Black leather. Leather, leather, leather. There's some leather there too with some bullet belts, buckles, straps, studs, and leather. Occasionally you'll find some leather, leather, and big combat boots. There might be some red leather, snake skin, and leather. If he's really trying to blend in for some super important reason he has a few sport like casual dress things that are very, very rarely used. He DOES own a few suits, one black pinstripe. He also owns an SS Nazi uniform cause he thought it was cool looking. Oh, and sunglasses. Usually he's wearing sunglasses.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
The leather is skin tight, he fits it well, is actually comfortable in it, knows how to move flexibly with it, and looks damn good in it.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Yeah, usually. Since he often disobeys the 'rules', does jobs he 'shouldn't', and etc, he kinda does whatever he wants. If there's a HUGE MASSIVE NEED to change his attire than he's not above changing it because being THAT rebellious is just stupid, but if there's not than no he'll stick with his leather.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Commando. Who the fuck could even wear anything under a suit that tight?
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
His voice is warm and a little ashy but not hoarse. It carries a very deep smoothness to it. There's no accent when he's speaking English other than a really slang filled Southern one. When he gets speaking the other languages he knows is accent follows in tow. Strangely, perhaps because of his appearances, Hebrew and Latin sound most like the languages he's been speaking for years, and years, and years - as they are.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He does it all! It all depends on his mood. His normal everyday tone is a nice medium volumn - not too loud or too quiet. It's not fast but not unbarably slow. It's casual. His tone usually doesn't speed up with his moods but it does amp up. When he's really angry, seriously angry, he becomes abrupt, stern. His "Southern accent" drops off a little or even completely. Depending on the level of said serious anger it can even become echoed and very "demonic" sounding. Depending on the reason for said anger and type of anger he can get in to the really loud screaming with an assload of vulgarities. This is the most common. It's just anger, fleeting surface anger that he'll get over in a couple minutes. He's very passionate so if you push the right buttons you can get a mouthfull from him but that's just his passion speaking and he gets over it as fast as it came. He can also speak very formally and very in depth on subjects that require it when he actually respects you (which will take some building).
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Yes, as I mentioned: when he's speaking in English he speaks like a hick.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
Many. Most Asian languages, old and new dialect. Arabic, Hebrew, Latin, Aramaic, Hindi, English. All of these are completely fluent. He may have picked up some German or Russian just because he's bee there but nothing too serious or too fluent.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
When it becomes a serious matter, or he knows that someone else can speak the language, he prefers speaking in either Latin or Hebrew. He would speak these languages all the time if people always did. Since Aramaic is sort of the tongue of Jesus and his deciples, so to speak, he doesn't often show that he knows that language. You'd have to speak it first, and then he'd have to vaguely trust you (or want to mind fuck you because a Demon being fluent in Aramaic might make some heads spin which would be funny).
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He's usually pretty good at speaking on the spot. He doesn't really need to take the time to think on most of what he's saying and sometimes the fact that he doesn't think about what he's saying can slip out. However he's not a completely arrogant airhead and therefore can sometimes take the time to consider what the fuck's going on and what to say about it. He does have his profound moments, they're often just well hidden. Mainly because it would totally ruin his badassery.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He's can be very articulate even if he doesn't come off to be. Again, it's just that he doesn't really want people to know or see the deeper sides of himself. Seth would much rather come off as an everyday normal piece of shit stupid demon doing his simple minded demony things. His 'accent' isn't all that hard to understand, it's just there. For someone with such a heavy accent as one might say it is, he seems to know what he's saying fairly well. It's not like there's a whole lot of uhm, uh, like, and so on. He's pretty composed, just butchers the shit out of English.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He hides the fact that he does indeed read. Mainly philosophical things, poetry, things about God since he can't actually touch a bible. He likes Lovecraft though by a lot. However he's not entirely someone you'd call book smart. Seth is by far a lot more "street-smart". A lot of his profound understandings of how things work comes from experience and personalized opinions. He's been there most of the time. He's seen it, smelt it, felt it, endured it. He knows.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Seth is an on his feet thinker most of the time. He's very fast to react because he's often been in situations that he's needed to. However he can do the latter when it's required.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Intuitive and emotional. He's a demon and has a sort of connection with the emotions of someone, not like an empath, but with sin comes the reasons for them and the understanding of those sins. A lot of things are 'sins' after all. He does a lot based on what he feels he should and what he cannot or has difficulty denying. Strangely enough, he does have a conscience somewhere back there. Sometimes the things he does can nag at him and he just is incappable of not persuing that particular plan of action. Seth is very passionate, he acts on his beliefs more times than not. He can sit and think something out but usually he doesn't unless it's really, really important.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
It's all experience. He's never been to school or any crap like that. He's been around Demons like Mammon, Belial, Beelzebub, and Lucifer himself. He's also, very recently, been sided by Saint Michael and Gabriel. Although he would argue that the most he's learned he's learned from humans, their trials and errors, their life just in general. Still, no formal education.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Sin, you'd easily have to say. Treason, contempt, revenge. He's good at giving people a push in the 'right direction' when they need some help in plotting demise, in plotting revenge. That's what he was born of, after all. However he's generally good with temptation all around, and because of his turn he took in his life he's a good fighter. Much of his strength, speed, endurance, and so on has been developed over time rather than just spontaneously granted to him. Being part-time tempter and trouble maker and part-time demon slayer whilst being a demon yourself brings up a lot of chaos. In order to survive, he had to learn a couple things. He wants to learn more about God, more about Life and it's purpose. Yes indeed, he wants to know those things he never had a chance at.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Half and half. He comes off like he doesn't hide a lot, and for a good portion of himself that's true. If you come near him and the smell doesn't give it away, his attitude and abilities will. He doesn't feel the need to blend in most of the time but he doesn't boast about it either. If you figure it out then good for you, here's a cookie. Although there's a lot, a lot, that he hides too.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
He's all and everything. Normally cool and composed, easy to set off but easy to come down from it. Doesn't get LIVID too easily. Can be very driven but has his ruts. Is usually friendly in a vulgar and snarky sort of way but can come off quite hostile too. Really, just read his personality. He is what he is when he is.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
It all depends on what he gathers about said person and situation. Completely situational.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Again, situational - but more likely he'll do both.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Rude, vulgar, macabre, bad puns are always awesome. Sarcastic, dry, whitty. He'll appreciate what he appreciates.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Probably, but he's a demon..
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Well, he's not a person so there's a lot of moments that have made him in to what he is now. Like.. a lot. Just read his history and find out through the narrative and etc.
14. What does he fear?
Apathy, The End. Likely other things that he hasn't told me yet. Suppose we'll find out!
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
He's not entirely sure. He hopes one day to be loved and welcomed by God but knows that's pretty improbable as he really hates and envies Yahweh's "Angels". He just really likes most of humanity. Sure, they can be assoles but hell so is he.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He loves Yahweh, God. He aches with every (un)breath he takes to be there by him, to fully be loved and accepted by him, to fully know him. He wants to believe so desperately. He'd like to be able to enter a church, read the bible, wear a cross, look at something holy, something of his most purest essence without screaming in agony because of it. During the war when he was approached by Gabriel with the message that God had a gift for him, was granting him power to pursue his beliefs and allowing him to walk amongst them for even that amount of time, fighting beneath the wings of God, it was without a doubt the most indescribable moment that engulfed him so wholly in such a way he cannot even begin to explain. He came to his knees and sobbed like a child that had finally found home. These things will never be spoken of. You'll have to either be able to sense, hear, or see it in some other way or try to pry it from his clutches; but I'll tell you that his clutches are pretty darn tight.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
He has none. He was formed by the souls of those in the ninth layer of hell. You could say that his "Father" is Lucifer himself. Obviously he has no mother.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
I guess in ways he could be a sibling to the higher standing demons of hell although he is not in their high-ranks. Those like Belphegor, Mammon, Beliel, Beelzebub, etc.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
No, he doesn't have "blood relatives".
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
He avoids this like the plague but unfortunately he has over many, many, many years befriended a lot of humans. Some with bigger names as he was in the rock scene. He knows personally (some more personal than others) various musicians. He also has made friends with just your regular old human which usually ends up bad. He tries really hard to avoid this though. He just :\ likes people. Damn them all.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Seth has no best friend. Again. Avoids it.
6. Does he have other close friends?
He knows a variety of people because of what he does. Some have grown closer than others but again, it's avoided.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
He SEEMS like he has trouble getting along with people because he's snarky, often vulgar and rude and has a flat sense of honesty and a liking for fucking shit up and dicking around with people. Though it's usually more friendly than malintended and therefore, in some strange way, he does make 'friends' real easy. Just they often tend to be half enemies too.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
"Friends".
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Single.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
His FIRST crush, fuck. I don't know. Probably GOD, LOL. He really likes Nikki Sixx though. REALLY A LOT. And chicks that put up their fist will quickly get his attention. Nothing beats a scary woman who'll knock your brains out.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
He doesn't do romantic. He probably could, but yeah.. no.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Yes. Beelzebub. Hate, hate, hate. Hate and more hate.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Bisexual through and through. Someone's appealing then they're appealing.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
It's not IMPORTANT, but it's good when it's good.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
--- On;
Leather, "I know what I want and I'm going to take it from you" attitude, fighting and violence, mud, chains, helplessness (either making someone helpless or being helpless); all that kinky stuff basically. He's a switch. He likes beating the shit out of someone as much as he likes getting the shit beaten out of him. He just wont willingly submit. If he's going to be submissive he wants to be brutalized and absolutely helpless whether this is done physically, mentally, emotionally, or a combination. You have to force him into it or else he'll take the lead. Violent submissive are hot.
--- Off;
Whiny girls, indecisiveness. Sometimes the pitch of someone's voice will irritate him so he'll shut you up quick if that's the case. He doesn't like any of this school-girl, I'm so helpless bullshit. If you're going to be helpless, he's going to make you so. If you're already acting like a little helpless pansy then there's really no fun in it. He's not in to the whole pissing and shitting on people though and neither is he too much in to vore. Bummer, I know.
--- Bedroom habits;
Should be obvious he's pretty kinky. He likes all forms of sexual encounters even if it's all toys and other various instruments. He's pretty flexible.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
He made his birthday (the day he rose to earth) October 30th, a few clicks from midnight. As a dubbed scorpio, yes it fits him very well.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Well, uh. He's a demon. So he knows that spirits, ghosts, vampires, undead shit, Heaven and Hell, exist. He's also aware of other Pantheon's existing, but they were also created by God. It's all under God's hand, all of it. At least that's his understanding, but he's not God so he can't rightfully say. So I suppose he's religious by default.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Yes, sort of, it's all circumstantial.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Again, circumstantial. As long as your belief doesn't ACTively interfere with his than whatever. Words and words. He may or may not fight you on them but that's just once again his passion.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
His biggest one his his thing against Angels. He hates them. Hates them, hates them, hates them. He cannot understand why they are still up there and he does not understand why they are still under God's approval. If you actually get him on ranting about them he can rant your fucking ears off. He has some damn good reasons for disliking them too, I'd say.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
He's a demon. He can get whatever the fuck he wants usually.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
Hell if he knows or even cares, really. In the land of the Damned his status is very turbulent. Some like him, some are amused by him, some fear him, some outright loath him. It's not uncommon for demons to come up and try and take him out through various means.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
Before Taxon and the ending war, it was just a place to crash and was often temporary. He didn't keep a lot of value in anything that wasn't already on him. He has a couple places under various names that he keeps for himself in various places around the world.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Cigarettes and liquor and leather and hot chicks when he's really fucking drunk. Sometimes weapons. Food. Belgian Waffles which are a category of their own, obviously.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
Tempts, or he's suppose to. Yes, he's very good at it. He usually does roadie work for various bands in order to tempt the cool kids. He's in and about the entertainment business a lot. On the flip-side he is also a part-time demon slayer killin' his kind to save those that don't deserve the torture. He's pretty good at that too. On his off-time he's just badass which he's also good at.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Drinking, smoking, being badass. Actually he'll read or listen to music. He doesn't really come across having free time often though.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He doesn't actually need to eat but human food is fantastic. He drinks like a fish. Jack Daniels and him are best budsss.

2. Smell? Sulfur, obviously. Though he likes the smell of Leather. You should have seen that coming.
