I just heard a sample of one of Utada's new songs called "Dirty Desire" and the lyrics are amusing: "When I'm alone at night / I sit and fantasize / And in my fantasies, I love you long time / During my 9 to 5, I'm thinking 6 and 9s / I've gotta make you mine..."
Made me laugh with that "love you long time" part and 69? Woo, you nasty girl! Nothing I haven't thought before though...

Anyhoo, I finished watching the Jdrama
Home & Away and I really enjoyed that. Although it got frustrating because Nakayama Miho's character kept on getting into situations which prevented her from going home, the different characters in every episode made up for it.
There were a couple of episodes that touched me.
The episode on the train with the older couple really got to me. The woman had a heart condition and was sickly, but her companion still wanted to be with her. When they were young, she made him get married to someone else, but later in life, they found each other again and wanted to take a trip together. In this episode, they were married on the train and it was just a touching episode. I guess I slightly relate to the female character in this episode somewhat (the fucked-upness, that is), so it struck a chord with me.
The second one was about Nishida Naomi's character. She was kind of waiting for 10 years for her love, but she found out later that he was married and had a child. It just seemed so heartbreaking and tragic that she waited innocently and with hope that she and her past love would get back together again. I guess I'm more of a romantic than I thought because both these episodes made me cry. Or maybe it's just hormones.
Koizumi Koutaro was pretty cute here and I just adore him in everything I've seen him in. Too bad he just gives me the gay vibe. I think he needs to stop playing the nice guy type of roles and get into more serious roles. I don't think he could do the heartthrob type of roles, unfortunately.
Now I'm watching
Ohsama no Restaurant. I cannot believe that I haven't watched this before. There's a couple of eyecandies for me in this one. Tsutsui Michitaka is hot. I first saw him in the asadora Watashi no Aozora and he kind of annoyed me here, but I found him to be dashing in
Gonzo. The garcon, Matsumoto Koshiro also caught my attention. What semi-disturbed me is that he's Matsu Takako's father. Eh, who cares. I like older men anyway. And Nishimura Masahiko, who I enjoyed in
Akimahende also acts in this one. For me, these three are reason to watch this drama. Oh, and the food looks delish and the acting/plot's great too. I shall write more on this later...
