I spent about an hour manually editing subtitles so they fit the screen without the funky spacing issues like this pic:
http://forums.vso-software.fr/another-subtitle-issue-t5540.html I wish the damn program could wordwrap itself when the subs are abnormally long, but apparently not if other people are having the same issues that I am. Hopefully after all the time I spent on these subs, it'll come out good. I guess I have to start doing this with other softsubs since I noticed that it's fucked up in some dramas as well. >:/
Also, I had to convert the subs from .ass to .srt, which is not much of a problem, but I don't know why people use those .ass subs in the first place since it's not compatible with certain players and also programs that convert stuff to DVD format. I guess the people who make them want the subs to be all *~fancy~*, but it's just annoying if it doesn't work. Thank God for programs that can change subtitle applications!
On a happier note, I spoke to Sandy last night and she's going to be sending me a few dramas. She was going to offer me a few more, but I already seen a couple of them and I told her that I don't really need that many Kdramas. Stupid of me? Probably, but I'm more into Jdramas anyway. I told her to give her friends my email & website addy so they can contact me since they have been collecting Jdramas too. I hope these Hawaii people have been recording stuff off KIKU & NGN because those channels were a gold mine back in the day. *crosses fingers*
