Stupid .ass subs (and shitty laptop screen)

It's so freaking hot right now that it isn't funny. I hate living in Hawaii sometimes. I feel like I'm suffocating and on the verge of having a headache. The fan is blowing on me and I'm still feeling like shit.

I tried authoring a drama only to find out that those stupid .ass subs (aptly named, I have to say) don't work. Great. Thank goodness for that program where you can convert it to .srt subs. Why do people make it so complicated by using incompatible stuff. So now I have to redo the conversion, which will take another 2 hours or so. >:/

I just finished the 9th episode of Last Friends and I have to say that this series is quite an addiction. In fact, it's the first drama that I watched on my laptop because I couldn't wait to convert it to DVD beforehand. I'm going to wait till I'm done watching the series before writing a review, but I can tell that this will be a 10/10 drama as long as they don't screw up the ending somehow.

The thing that bothered me about several of the LF episodes is that the sound does not match up with the pic. I guess it wasn't ConvertXtoDVD that screwed up. I guess that's why I'm going to wait for the hardsubs to come out before authoring to DVD. Also, the fansubber(s) sometimes have missing lines, which is annoying, but most of the time I get what's being said. If not, there's always dorama note to clarify it.

As I mentioned, I'm watching Last Friends on my laptop and it honestly sucks because of the monitor's pic (not to mention the dying CD/DVD drive and the slowness). This is what my monitor looks like:

I'm thinking of getting a new laptop instead of a desktop for the moment. Since Dell's having a sale on their site, I might as well get it. This is the info on the one I'm looking at:
