argr, ergi, ergo: seidr! (and ergot!)

After reading the (interesting) article, I read the fic with the idea there might some correspondence between the article and the fic, right? Which it wasn't so much, but it meant I kept coming up with random theories as to how it might as I went along, which ended up as this cracky AU-on-the-fic in my head, so, presenting cracky plot #2,561 as to why 'teh incestuous gay sex scared Sam into leaving for Stanford':
So, Sam's psychic powers? Would probably be a type of Seithr according to Germanic culture, and to practice Seidr, a man is by implication, or must try be 'ergi' (feminine/unmanly), for example, males wanting to practice Seidr say, wearing the clothing of females, equivalent of argr, which as as the article discusses, implied the recipient of homosexual anal sex, or "warg indicates the transformation of man into wolf, arg denotes the notional change of man into woman"). Ummm, anyway, that was much too long an explanation for 'argr' (bottoming) made Sam
'ergi' (feminine) enough to use 'Seidr' (his psychic powers), and it a) freaked him out, and b) (because I was going in an AU off the fic), John found out but got more pissed at Sam because he's the prodigal son, and might be infecting Dean (werewolf themes?) - oh yeah, and possibly knows that's why Sam was getting prophetic dreams, but no one ever tells Dean this. Of course, once they start tripping together (... I meant road tripping! Damn. LSD on the brain...), eventually (a good what, 6 months to a year afterwards?) Sam starts fucking Dean again, and voila - more dreams.
Ah, you ask (well, actually, I don't know why anyone but me would) - but what about the dreams Sam had of Jess's death? He had them for weeks before Jess's death, and he wasn't getting any gay nookie then, was he?
My brain's answer to this - of course not. That's because they all got set off by Sam's consumption of LSD at a party (reeeeeaally bad trip, right?).
It's a really stupid sequence all in all, and I won't even try to write it, because it only makes sense given context as a riff off a random academic paper, and really - wtf? WTF brain?
But, now I'll know how it went. Yay!

This also takes a turn for the dark-fic in light of the guy Max on Nightmares, if I also posit the Seidr there. Uh. Not so keen on the sexual abuse/rape themes. Maybe he just started fucking other guys, and was being beaten up for it by homophobic relatives when he got home?)
We don't really get any other manly men on the show, because our guys are the 'manly men'. Just chicks of the week, children, older males, and then guys like the bugs or nightmare guy, or even wendigo, who're... kinda twinky.
