Anime Expo 2005

I admit I've been quite out of the loop for several years now in the vast world of anime & manga. I've only recently rekindled my interest in manga/manhwa after finding out a good manhwabang near James' house (he lives near Ktown, go figure), and a friend has been feeding me my daily..err, weekly dose of anime consistently, so I'm not TOTALLY lost. For some reason though, I had this horrible itch to want to go to Anime Expo this year. The last time I'd gone was about 3-4 years ago, so it's been a while. But shaking all fear and uncertainty out of my mind, I decided to go for it, literally, this afternoon. AX spans 4 days in all, starting with today as its first day. Unfortunately, my brother has work tomorrow and Sunday, which means that we could either have gone today or on Monday (last day). We figured that we might as well go today than on the last day, so off we went. Crazy crazy...cosplayers everywhere and a huge exhibit hall full of anime/manga merchandise whose prices have been jacked up 100%...and sometimes we would even catch a whiff of someone who hasn't taken a decent shower in a good 3-weeks or so...but overall it proved to be a very pleasant experience.

This guy made a very good Kakashi!

Not sure who they're cosplaying...but they looked awesome

I suspect they're trying to cosplay some Metal Gear or Tom Clancy game characters...James can totally do this, too, with all his airsoft gear!

SNK/Street Fighter group

Seung Mina from Soul Caliber, I think?

This Gundam guy had me in stitches..I mean, he had to WALK like that the whole day! I wonder how he went to the bathroom...

The Death Note wall scroll I wanted to get, but couldn't because it was $50 (!!!)

For consolation I bought this, instead

And of course, they HAD to sell these, as well (my brother insisted that I take a pic!)
