Hi!
I upload the photos I took in Morocco during two archaeological campaigns.
One was in Rif Range. The region's name comes from the Berber word arif. The major cities in the Rif include Nador, Al Hoceima.
The second was a survey in the well-known region of Essaouira (cf. Jimmy Hendrix aand UNESCO World Heritage). After the campaign, I had the opportunity to spend some days in Marrakech. I have to admit, I didn’t like it so much. I suppose, it’s because I’m use to travel and work in remote areas. It’s hard for me to deal with crowd and sometimes with tourists.
You will notice, I don’t take a lot of picture of people. I don’t like it so much. If I do it, it’s discrete and most of the time from the back side. In Muslin but also in Buddhist/Hindu countries you have to be really sensitive and thoughtful by taking pictures of people. I had the opportunity to do it with people I lived and work with. Writing this down make me realize how lucky I was/am. I tend to forget this when I sit behind my desktop and feel desperate of being able to finish my thesis one day .
Looking at my pics, I confess I have a thing for Doors, Windows and Lost Shoes! *right now giggling* because of Sam's "I lost my shoe" Why do I always relate to SPN?!?!?! It would be a nice idea to make a crossover with each of these topics around the countries I went! All the photos aren’t photoshoped. The size of some of them had to be reduced but that’s all.
Oh, but first because a day without “The Boys” or “Supernatural” is definitely inconceivable, here 4 icons:
I upload many pics in my ScrapBook but now I had to make a selection. Hope you’ll enjoy it.
Ok, enough! The last pic is from the cave excavation. I am the one who is tanding! As I told
lupina78 I dare to upload one more pic of me at the the excavation in Mongolia!
Hope you weren't bored by my post. I wish you all the best and take care.
