It's my life...
So, after not posting for quite awhile, I’m getting back into the land of LJ. To make a long story short(er):
-Our move basically went fine (thank GOD!). Neither we nor our stuff had any problems at the border, and we and it all made it here safe and sound.
-We still really like the apartment, though we’re not terribly thrilled with the previous tenants - they left us a semi-broken dishwasher, a completely broken washing machine, mice that run on the counters, mouse shit in the cupboards, and a general sense of uncleanliness. The joy of boys.
-We have most of the basic stuff unpacked - i.e., I can cook dinner and go on the computer and find most of my summer clothing, but we are nowhere near done, mostly due to the next item...
-My mom is officially living in NYC. So we’ve been up at my parents every weekend, helping her pack. Fun fun, let me tell you.
-A. is still looking for a job, but there is an interview tomorrow! Keeping fingers and toes crossed...
-I have officially started graduate school! Classes started yesterday, and it’ll be...an interesting trip. I’m just hoping my not-so-great study skills that I haven’t used in 4 years will manage to get me through. We shall see.
On that note, I am going to start outlining the article for class tomorrow that I need to e-mail to everyone tonight, and then I am going to read the other 5 chapters and articles that are also due. Uh huh, sure I will...
