wow, i was in a foul, foul mood last night. i feel bad. i was really impatient with Mikey when all he was trying to do was make me feel better. i just got really tired of being layed up in the house all the time. i feel just fine today. yah it sucks, but it could be worse, absolutely.
we borrowed "The Dukes of Hazzard" from Ro last night and watched it while we ate Arctic Circle takeaway. bad bad bad. we're not supposed to be eating fast food! but a ranch burger just sounded SO good last night. and it was, mmm.
then we watched the dvd of The Cure's greatest hits music videos. Mike (who hates The Cure and all things 80's) was suprisingly into it. He really really liked it. Shocker! "Lullaby" is the best song and music video ever.
so i've decided that my goal in life is to join The Century Club. When I was in Costa Rica 3 years ago my friend Malin from Sweden told me about this traveller's club that you can join if you've travelled to 100 or more countries. what an incredible feat! i just randomly remembered the club today and looked it up online and i still don't understand what exactly goes on in the club, but i would like to join someday! ...even if just to say that i've travelled so extensively! Its actually not quite as hard as it sounds to join because they have a list of 315 "countries" in the world that count. Alaska and Hawaii are both considered seperate from the United States. They have just to be "COUNTRIES AND DESTINATIONS THAT ARE POLITICALLY, ETHNOLOGICALLY OR GEOGRAPHICALLY DIFFERENT."
i would like to do this! i've got a LONG way to go though, i've only been to 7 places on the list thus far! ...not counting mainland USA. anyone else interested? become a member with me!
http://www.travelerscenturyclub.org/ i wonder if my friend Malin has made it yet.. she said she was close, how exciting! We met at a hammock hotel in Puerto Viejo, a place called Rocking J's Hammock Hotel. it was AWESOME there!!! we made a mosaic there together on a wishing well. We were both there when the place was just opening and the owner, Jay, wanted to put mosaic artwork all over the grounds and on the bathroom walls and everywhere else he could manage to. He put us to work! This is what we made together. See how it says XTA on the bottom right? yah that's me. :) i'm not a liar. i made this!
ok so its not like SPECTACULAR work, i know, but it has my name on it! but these are my favorites:
amazing right! anyone going to Costa Rica should go to Rocking Js!
