Life is too complicated. But Life's Like That (Or so Avril tells us) lol.
A little over two weeks ago my mother came home from work sick - puking and having bathroom problems. I tried to get her to go to a hospital ..over and over through the day but she wouldn't go. I finally forced her there when I got home from work - and believe you me it was hard to force her to do it - but when we finally got there through a series of problems - my mother had hypothermia and something called Diabetic Ketosis Acidosis. Which the DKA means her blood ph levels were highly acidic to the point where it was surprising it was supporting her life.
Talk about scary. This came from her not taking her insulin like she's supposed to.
I thought she learned last March, her lesson in taking care of her diabetes, but she learned nothing. I don't think she'll learn from this one either. When I asked her what she thought about the fact she almost died she said, "Dying doesn't scare me." and she talks like she doesn't care one way or another if she dies.
That scares me.
