Perfect World is taking a reeeeeeaaaaaaaally long time updating now between Closed and Open Beta :S Plus some message keeps blinking up and I miss it every time.
Still... it seems to be working.
Stuff!
But yea, on the 4th of October I am off to Florence, in Italy, the heart of all things artistic! o.O
I'm a little perplexed by this, for a while my Mum has been trying to plan it for the two of us, (she's taken both my sisters and was desperate to get me there!) but I never saw it happening! So yea... I can't think of the last time I went abroad... it was a long time ago! It will be a bizarre week away but it's going to be interesting as hell, from what I've seen of the place, there is just... ancient artwork and stone work everywhere, on pavements, alleyways, everywhere!
Better clear my camera memory!
I went to pay the rent today, but before I even got onto the street outside, I got a phone call from a recruitment agency who had found my CV online. They were asking me for details on a games job down in Ashton, Lancashire... just to the east of Manchester. They seemed really optimistic, asking about relocation, interviews and have since sent me an email with more details.
So that made me more positive :)
(Yea, Perfect World isn't working right now lol - servers must be packed)
Films
Watched "Night at the Museum" last night, I've not written an official review yet, but it was quite good.. a good way to pass the time at least. I have no respect for Ben Stiller but he seemed to pull this off quite well. It had moments of brilliance and moments that were just a little too silly for my tastes; panorama miniature people coming to life, that's fine, but panorama miniature people driving remote control cars? No... you've just gone beyond the Borrowers cleverness with that one.
Very similar to Jumanji, while the CGI was actually pretty good. The family values message seemed a little thrown in there, a bit disjointed but I suppose all comedy films require that sort of thing these days.
Overall it was fun, had me laughing at certain bits so I can't complain :)
