Its only the first day I've not had a job, and I've already been biting my nails :P doh...
I am trying out my little laptop at the moment :) In bed typing away on wireless and watching Transformers I got cheap from TRU lol
Hope everyone had a good New Year! I was off in Stirling for the day and a night for a party with Tommy, Will and co. Was good, just games and films all night. Went home after that and had great food, played Mouse Trap with my parents (we are like that :P) while my sister and her bf arrived too, all on the 1st!
Unfortunately the last day of work was very underwhelming; the place was empty, as in empty of staff too. My manager ended up leaving half way through for no reason, swiftly followed by the store manager. Place was a mess too and I ended up just leaving rather quietly.... was bizarre..
(This was something! TRU's Wii demo reel now has Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City videos in it... but the what the woman in it is saying makes it seem really creepy O.o It's all like... she's sitting at home, drinking tea while her character drinks tea... goes shopping in game... designs her own clothes and... at night, makes constellations "so the stars shine the way I want" - the way she stresses the last part just sounds really intimidating... like she thinks the very stars themselves should be as easy to change as drinking tea is... in real life o.O;;)
The 31st hrough to the 2nd felt like one giant day :S was shattered.
So today I did nothing! And enjoyed it. I played Sonic Unleashed first... which was actually enjoyable... as Tommy was on Live and allowed my feverish ranting to be heard :P
Then it was Sonic the Hedgehog 2... and how unaccustomed I am with Sonic games in general :P Followed by PGR4 and then Banjo Kazooie!
Followed by films Dark Knight and No Country for Old Men.
So yes, very productive day for me!
I have been painting though :)
He is a character from my new book, the image isn't quite finished but naturally I am moving on to more characters now! Felt much happier with how I painted this one too :)
(must stop biting nails, GAH)
I applied to another sales assistant job with Currys (I can hear you groan Kirsty!) and The Spirit has arrived in cinemas, so I might be heading out Odeon-wards soon. Naturally, Job-Centre and Council visits due as well.
Oh, and gotta find me a new phone... work did phone me while I was at home on the 2nd... woke me up actually but my phone happily crashed and hung up on them immediately lol. Not so funny, as it could have been a new job. Plus, Virgin's 50mb fibre optic cable with more tv channels and mainline phone for only £10 more than I'm already paying sounds nice too.
I'm sure there was more I was meant to tell.... maybe I'm just making excuses to practice with this little keyboard! After some more concepting, book shall be written!
