commute
so i decided to ride my bike in today despite the winter storm warning. it really wasn't that bad - it's the drivers that bothered me. i overestimated how considerate people would be. i figured that because there were relatively few cars on the road (due to the weather and the fact that it was 9:30am), i thought people might give me a little extra space since there was room for it. most people did, but those 15 or so drivers who didn't completely smothered me in slush. my pristine screaming yellow jacket is now more of a brownish.
i wore neoprene booties over my shoes but somehow managed to collect chunks of ice under the toes and on one of the sides. not sure how that happened, but my feet stayed mostly warm. i'm not sure if i will ride home though. i'm happy to tackle the winter rain/sleet/snow/ice in the daylight, but it's another story in the dark.
