I've been getting way too much "Why don't you update anymore, woman?" lately, so time for a quick entry.
Back at school! Love it! I honestly had no idea how much I missed school before I went back. Slowly getting back into the student mindset ... which is tougher than I had anticipated, actually. But I'm getting there!
Also have a new job working at the front desk at the Hampton Inn. It's incredibly fun, and my coworkers are awesome! The best part is that they're all a little on the crazy side, so I fit right in. I'm not the only one to switch jobs lately; Damian has finally left EDC (which has been a long time in coming, believe me!), and now has a job as a field supervisor, which basically means he gets to ride around in an armored truck and beat people up. Or something like that.
Speaking of Damian, things are amazing with him! We actually fight now ... well not really fight, exactly, but we've gotten to the comfort level where if one of us isn't entirely happy with something they will tell the other person. This occasionally leads to fighting (okay, usually leads to fighting, since we're both impossibly stubborn), but it's a constructive sort of fighting, not just bitching at each other for the sake of bitching. I don't know, maybe a more apt term that "fighting" would be "unnecessarily loud and occasionally slightly hostile communication". Yes, that seems to fit better. Regardless, I still see it as a good thing because it means we're more comfortable with each other and it helps keep us on the same page. We've also gone a little crazy on the interior decorating lately (the living room is bright yellow!), and have been having a blasty blast! Oooh, and I FINALLY have a dining room table! YAY! The only issue of concern is the fact that I think he loves his hand-held Yahtzee more than me ... Erm, maybe not!
The kitty is also doing splendidly of late. He's adorable, and so affectionate! I would love him to death if he didn't keep me awake until the wee hours of the morning, trying to play with me while I'm trying to sleep. (He won't do it with Damian, you know. Oh no. Only me.) Having a cat trying to balance all four of his paws on your calf is a lot less cute at 3:00am then it is when he starts at 7:00 the night before!
Alicia's moved away to Brampton, which is great for her but a bit lonely for the rest of us. It was so funny; she came home from her training course at the end of July and was like, "By the way, I got a job so I'll be moving out next week." We were all just sort of like "O.O". But the move went smoothly, and she's happy, so all is well.
My basement is freezing and I'm due at le boi's soon, so I'm gonna run. Cheers all!
