...damn technology (and you thought for a minute that this would be a post about how I found Jesus under the bed, didn't you? sorry to burst your born-again-Christian bubble). No, this is another bitching post, and I apologize. I've been trying for the past two days (and for the past 3 hours straight) to download Adobe Acrobat Reader on my new comp so that I can read all my fun downloadable books. But no. Adobe does not support my version of Mac because they haven't bothered to update their products since December. WTF?!?! That's like a million years in internet time. So until they get off their asses (or I find a way to get around this problem, but as I'm all but computer illiterate, this is unlikely) and update a version, I have no online books. I also have no friends within a hundred mile radius. No cell phone service. And no iPod. Which leads me to my next beef with technology...
...the iPod. I love it dearly. Most of the time. Except right now when I'm trying to transfer my music library from the old comp to the new one. It's had the "Do Not Disconnet" symbol up for about four hours now (I decided to tackle the Adobe Reader while the iPod was updating or whatever and since then the iPod has not completed updating itself and I'm on the verge of strangling every individual who works at Adobe with their mouse cords while I laugh gleefully). So for the time-being, I'm going to take myself off and read a nice old-fashioned paper book and play Amish until the urge to destroy the Internet single-handedly has worn off.
