Murphy is proving to be a very good match for our household. Indeed, he may turn out to be the most intelligent of the three of us. He's very clever, fast to learn and has quickly settled into our routine, such as it is.
He remains a little skittish and a bit of a fraidy-cat when there are sudden loud noises - or noises her can't quickly identify - but conversely he has proved to be very loving and more of a lapcat than we imagine. He can't get enough of having his head scritched and has happily snoozed in between us on the sofa as we watch TV.
His loud - and persistent - meowing at night has made us feel a little guilty at not (yet) allowing him into our bedroom, but he eventually stops and resigns himself to his fate. His daytime curiosity about what hides behind "doors number 2 and 3" is ever-evident however.
It will be Interesting to see how he'll react around guests. In the meantime, he has already tried to help with this post, and is leaning the ropes at being my office assistant.
