It's been a while, but here is how my week went:

Friday, leave for New Orleans. Damn! I bet you didn't see that one coming. Aaron, Andy, Chris and I took my car to New Orleans. It usually takes about 8-8.5 hours to get there, but I did it in 7. We stayed in a Days Inn just 8 miles outside the French Quarters. Bourbon St. is where the all night parties go on. It was fun, but only really fun if you're 21 and possibly plastered. It was also a little too crowded. Now Decatur St. was cool. If Bourbon St. is Buckhead, Decatur St. is the Virginia Highlands. It has actual restaraunts all over, and is populated by artists mostly during the day, but some at night. Even though we spent a few days there, it seemed like we did a lot.

We come back Sunday, rushing back on the way home so we could possibly see a showing of Phone Booth. We didn't make it on time, but the trip only took 6.5 hours back. Damn, I'm fast. The weekdays were spent working and watching movies at Andy's and the theater. Phone Booth, good entertaining movie despite what everyone thinks it will be before they see it. I also give it extra points for originality. Spider, only showing at one theater in Atlanta. Good, but didn't do much for me. The Fugtive, very good movie. Anger Management, funny movie. Better than Mr. Deeds. Same day, Spirited Away. Cool animated film. It was pretty good, but a little kiddie at times. We watched the latest Harry Potter yesterday at Andy's and had a bunch of laughs looking at all the ugly people in that movie. There's also a character that looks like my sister 4 years ago. She doesn't have a speaking part, but you see her several times.

After work yesterday, my family and I went to Cirque du Soleil. The show fucking kicked ass. This is the third one I've seen, and it was still really damn good. "The circus?! I don't even like the circus." Fucking uncultured bastards. I would say that the first show I saw, Quidam, had a better story and theme, but Varekai had better stunts and costumes. Once again, a very good show and worth seeing.

We went to Brio's Tuscan Grill for dinner afterwards and I met a girl that I went to Kinglsey with from kindergarten to about 3rd or 4th grade. Katie Keyes, for any of you that went to Kingsley. Adam doesn't count though. It also happens to be that David Immerman was with her on a prom date. I went to Peachtree with him in the 7th grade, and I see him occassionally because he's friends with Aaron.

Damn, I had a really good week. How about you?
