How to submit your rough draft

Mar 22, 2012 11:04

As I hope everyone knows, your rough drafts are due March 25! Submissions are open, so you have between today and the night/morning of the 25th/26th to get it in. It's a pretty straightforward process, and I hope will be mostly stress free.

A few things to remember:
-There is no minimum word count for these drafts. 2000+ would be AWESOME, but all that's required is that you're sure you'll be done by the end of the challenge/your posting date. That's your judgement call to make at this point, not mine!

-No one but the mods will see what you turn in, and even we won't be reading them! We're just going to be checking it over very basically for word count, but I want to be surprised by the final products too. Once you have an artist assigned to your fic, it's up to you to send them what you have if you would like, as we will be giving the artist your contact information.

-If you are turning in more than one fic for this challenge, please send each in a separate email! It'll just make my life easier!

-Remember that your summaries are very important! That is all that the artists are going to see when they're claiming your fic, so please be sure to proofread, and be sure that your summary reflects your fic well!

Now for the instructions!:

Email to:
cockbert@gmail.com

Subject line:
Rough Draft - Title - LJ Username

Body of email:

LJ Username:
Current Word Count:
Estimation of Percent Complete:
Title:
Type: (friendship, romance, crossover, etc)
Rating:
Characters/Pairings:
Warnings: (sexual context, non-con, violence, strong language, characters death, etc - if there is anything in your fic potential artists should be warned about then include it)
Summary:

Then add your fic as an attachment; please do not include it in the body of the email! I would prefer .doc format if possible, but I can probably open almost anything.

After we receive your fic, we will email your back with confirmation. This may take some time however, so don't panic if you don't hear back right away!

If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a comment in this post!
