You can post on the yahoo group 911parrotalert, they are great to help people find their lost birds.
Cockatiels can fly quite a bit in a short period of time, so you might also want to put something in your local newspaper and a flier in every animal hospital that will let you.
Don't give up, keep calling for him. If you find him be aware that he will likely be very high and too scared to come down, so you will probably have to climb up to get him. Also, if you do find him, take him to the vet immediately, even if it is a 24 hour emergency clinic that you will need to take him too.
Since the guy behind you also has cockatiels, ask him to keep an eye out because your bird may stay around them if he can hear them and if he is still nearby.
