Share in the love for my new cabinets!

Hi,
I purchased a large set of early 50's Geneva cabinets at a great deal. I'm thrilled! They've got all the works, the lazy suzanne, the under-oven drawers, corner cabinets and display shelves, the original sink in fab condition, even the laundry utility cabinets. But I'm not just here to gloat :) I need help with a few matters.
1. Because of minor rust spots I was looking into getting them refinished. My only avenue in that area was to look into automotive painters (because of the baked enamel) and I received quotes of $4000-6000. Can't do! There are many small areas on the underside of the cabinets with spots, some on the interior. I'm guessing from not wiping down after mopping. Early fifties Geneva cabinets were all white right? Because these tend to look a cream color. I'm thinking it's from 60 years of gunk. How do I clean them and remove the rust? Are there paint products that mimic baked enamel? I just want to use it in a few small areas.
2 Also, the laminate counter tops are in pristine condition! I want to salvage those.  Any advice as to how keep them whole during demo?
3. The edging is also great- but I need filler pieces to fit this into my space. Also, I'm looking for the white filler pieces between the cabinets. I'd also like the decorative curved shelf for my top cabinets. I want it all to be original. Any idea where I can find such things?  Thank You!
