school day blues

so what are you studying? If I may ask? I just graduated from nursing school, and passed my license boards so now I am a LICENSED REGISTERED NURSE!!! *And there was much rejoicing!* Ha Ha

*whew* Now I'm in orientation for my new job as a nurse. We have 2 weeks monday through friday 8am-5pm for class time, just going through policies and procedures for the hospital, crash carts, CPR re-certification, and computer system training. Then we'll start on our unit-based training as nurses on the floor with a preceptor. I'm in the emergency room. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. But they basically said they don't care if I go on my vacation, because I don't count yet as an employee on staffing since I'm going to be on orientation for like 12 weeks, so I go on vacation a week, they'll just tack another week on at the end. So I'm good for my Vegas trip.

I'm so excited about it. I just have to buy the plane ticket. I already got the concert tickets for the San Francisco show and the Vegas show. Now I just have to arrange to borrow a digital camera.

so that's been my life lately, just waiting for updates from my favorite authors and dreaming some wierd dreams. Ah, you know what popped into my head last night for a pairing?? Gackt/Aoi!! can you imagine?? 2 very dark brooding beautiful men.... hmmm... I just might have to beg somebody to write that up for me....

Okay this is totally bad. Sorry gomen and all those silly things. Just ever since school started, party invites have been raining left and right. Not to mention school shit and I am a stockroom assistant so triple mando busy. Bah. I'm a pharmacy student by the way. ^^

Actually I'm in orientation for my job right now.. policies and procedures galore 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday all next week. *boring* then I finally get to go the floor and start really learning how to care for ER patients.

next week I should also meet my preceptor. That will be an experienced nurse they pair me up with to teach me the ropes.

I don't have a digital camera, but I hope to borrow one. I will definitely post pics if i'm able to get some!!

Oh regarding pharmacy school ! that's awesome, you get to deal (out) drugs man! XD just be real careful to transcribe really carefully and to check for cross reaction. NEVER write a trailing zero it's 7 mg not 7.0 (it can be mistaken for 70mg) and always use a begginning zero for numbers less than 1 , it's 0.7mg not .7 (it can be mistaken for 7mg) this is one of the major causes of medication errors and you don't want someone to get 10 times the dose ordered.
