Part two of the first draft.
Hyde sat at his desk as he finished his third cigarette in the last 15 minutes or so. He sighed as he tried to concentrate on the papers he was trying to grade but ever since he saw Tetsu a couple days ago he had been...thrown off...in a way. He felt guilty seeing those cold eyes instead of the bright smiling ones that used to greet him almost daily so many years ago. He wished so many times over the last ten years or so he could have gotten the courage to go back to Tetsu and fix everything....but he couldn't...
It's wrong...that boy is wrong...what you do with him is wrong...
He lit another cigarette and then got up opening the window before it got too smoky in his office. He sat back down and went back to trying to focus on his work.
Right somewhere in the hallway, dragged out of work, was a Tetsu who couldn't understand how his little girl managed to convince half of the station to get him off the hook way too early. He was in the middle of verifying this and that and in came Ken, a co-worker of his, carrying Yuu by his shoulders.
"Come on, Dad! You have to say you're sorry!" Yuu cried out, this time forcing her rock hard clutch on her father. Sometimes, Tetsu wonders if the whole theory of Yuu being a genius wasn't exactly as off the marker as it sounded, "You made him sad!"
"Yuu..." Tetsu looked down at her, as he let himself be dragged anyway, "We have... Me and your sensei, we have problems, adult problems-"
"And you should fix it like adults then!" the girl cried, "Becuase that's the right thing to do! Come on, Dad! Don't be such a chicken! You have to go and make Takarai-sensei happy!"
Hyde looked at his watch and sighed. He really didn't want to have to go home. Until a couple days ago he was sure the empty stare and deadpan attitude of his wife was horrible until he had seen that cold glare from Tetsu. Hell, he would be lucky if he got home and she was even there...
He finished grading another paper and lit up yet another cigarette. Maybe he would just sleep in the car tonight or something.
"Yuu! Listen to me!" Tetsu said loudly, a few more steps and he was going to be in front of his door. Yuu was now pushing him to the teacher's office, tyring her best to get her father to take responsibility, "You can't just..."
"But... he looks so sad..." Yuu looked up at Tetsu, and the brunette stopped bickering for a while. Yuu put on a small disappointed face herself, "Takarai-sensei is always happy... but right now he's always poopy and it makes me sad too"
"Well... what if he has other problems, Yuu? Have you ever thought of that?"
Tetsu tried to reason out to the little girl, "And... how can you tell he's sad anyway?"
Yuu shook her head, and crossed her arms, "I can tell, Dad... you have to go make... up or something... Shake your hands and... stuff"
Hyde looked up as he thought he heard voices outside his door. He took his glasses off and saw a couple figures outside of his door. "Uhhh, can I help you?" He asked.
Tetsu stiffened when he heard that voice, he didn't turn around but then again he didn't have to, as Yuu took his temporary paralysis as a sign of goodwill and drag him all the way to the teacher.
She smiled up at Hyde and grabbed for his hand too, "Takarai-sensei, my dad has something important to tell you..."
THen before Tetsu knew could even register what was happening, Yuu placed his hand on Hyde's and forced their hands together. He stared at their clasped hands together, not sure what to think of it. When the little girl felt Tetsu pull away a bit, she forced their hands back again together.
"Dad! How can you shake his hand if you don't hold it?"
