Mumbai marathon - the 9th marathon
Time flies, I seem to be frozen in time! I remember reading abt the first marathon on a flight back from bangalore I think. I had made up my mind to run the next year. i let the second one go too, the third year i registered for the dream run. it was fun running, the spirit of mumbai was unimaginable. I never knew the city had such high spirits. i ran next to ashutosh govarikar and im sure the pic of his was clicked when i was running by his side, but the pic in the newspaper carried only him. i guess it might have been easy for the editor to remove noise ;)
me and my brother always register together and run, this year i didnt register and he didnt run! but he is a big sport, he runs nothing less than the half marathon. i did graduate one year to the half but my sister in law ran instead of me thanks to selp grad session.
i missed being there today, just being there to cheer itself will have some of the mumbai magic rub off on you.
