The Meaning of life (yeah ok I posted again in my lj so sue me)

Don’t worry I’m not gonna go on acting like I’m smart or something (even though I’m way smarter than any of you guys)

Yeah, so this started in psychology class when Gil asked the class what the meaning of life was. Brendan happened to be in this class which should make the class interesting considering Gil seems to already be annoyed by him, and of course when Gil asked this, Brendan went off on one of his speeches consisting of memorized particulars and lines from different Ayn Rand novels, all of which were based on the complex thought processes and reasoning of humans and for that reason he cant be right because other organisms like ants and things lack our cerebral functions to do so. Someone else said reproduction (makes sense and isn’t scientifically debatable but faulty still). I thought about it for a little while and decided that even if we find a meaning to life and it is agreed upon by everyone and is an actual absolute, what would this achieve? We would all still be doing everything we do normally to gratify ourselves, so everyone should just not worry about it and do what they want. And that’s what I said and I think Gil thinks I’m cool now, yessss!

So like, maybe I’m too young to be thinking about the meaning of life or whatever, and I don’t know why I’m thinking about it anyways because like I said it doesn’t matter what the meaning of life is. Everyone just wants to be happy and to be able to decide what happens to them in the future and that’s all. All I really wanna do is have fun playing games with my friends, and being cool and having more fun. I know this seems sorta similar to Melissa’s entry, but I thought of it first XP I think I have lots of fun when I’m around friends like Nathan and Melissa, well, Melissa sometimes when she’s not being uncool, but Nathan almost always. And all my other friends are pretty interesting people and are pretty cool I guess. And most games are cool if they’re not lame…. But I guess everything’s pretty much that way these days.
