Although I was determined a mesomorph, the seemingly ideal somatype, I disagree with the line of questioning and the incorrect inferences made in the quiz. The "findings" connote a slight imprint of outdated prejudice and logical falacies that lack credibility. I thoroughly disagree with the findings on the basis of subjectivity.
I submit that the content on bodybuilder.com or atleast in the THEORY of Dr. William H. Sheldon is very flawed. To assume that the size of a human cranium at all determines the intellectual or emotional capacitance of a human being is beyond my mesomorphic mental limitations.
Studies show that brain size holds almost no correlation with the intellectual coefficients of humans and more to with brain shape. Hence, I find it misleading that bodybuilder inquires:
12) People would describle me as an:
.Emotional person
.Physical person
.Intellectual person
This has little to do with somatypical differences and more to do with the theory of tabula rosa. If one can assume that genetics are the leading factors in a person's attitude says something very wrong if taken to a closer echelon, racism. Who's to say one race is less mentally stable than another genetically as opposed to sociologically?
After a bit of trial and error, I discovered that selecting emotional brands the survey goer as an endomorph, physical as a mesomorph, and intellectional as an ectomorph. I do try to maintain the mesomorphic body type, the optimal body type for strength and health. I am glad to have this bodytype, but who is to say that expressing emotional and intelectual values somehow detract from this? In it's current format, this is an abrassive theory to society that should go the way of frued's penis envy and fox news reports, cast out into obscurity. Sure, It does serve a purpose in the physical classification of humans, just like genres are necessary in the classification of music, but it should be limited to that.
The Findings are scewed, illogical and unreliable. They are just as bad as the contemporary public service announcements telling young children that duck and cover is the ultimate methodology to avoid nuclear fallout.
