walk, walk, walk

OY. I think I put on more miles this weekend than I did in total for the past three months. Relay for Life was AWESOME. I walked for three hours straight before I took a break, and when they lighted all the luminaria it was breathtaking.

Cornstock was a blast yesterday - the bands Oleander and Default played, and they were both really good. There was a huge inflatable maze that we had races through, and an inflatable thing where you and another person were each strapped to a bungee cord, and you tried to see who could run forward the farthest to stick a velcro bean bag on the middle dividing wall before being yanked (rather harshly) back by the bungee. Whoah, that was fun. Plus watching all the drunk people trying to stay on the mechanical bull, and then being led out by security. Crazy day.

Then the crop walk was today to help raise hunger awareness - 6 miles plus another mile to walk there and back from school. It was a great experience since the distance we walked represented half the distance that many people in third world countries have to walk to find fresh water. Wow. I was pooped at the end, and that would have only been half my trip! It made me think.

My legs are officially jelly.

Now off to finish all the homework i didn't get done this weekend while I was off and about - look out Chemistry, here I come!!!
