These past few nights have been cold and dismal. On the night of the recent blizzard the snow that fell melted upon contact with the ground, only to be frozen into slush by the wind. When I got home my pants were soaked up to just below my knees and my shoes/socks were practically "sponges'" once I got home. I decided to take a nice warm shower as my room-mate lay peacefully asleep on the couch watching weather forecasts.
Tonight it was dry and windy, much colder than the previous night. The ponds of slush that collected on sidewalks and streets, evaporated by the slight cloudless afternoon, had frozen into sparkling streaks and rocks of ice. Even the sand of the baseball diamond's, of the nearby park I walk across, had frozen into a smooth icerink frr of abrasiveness.
Strangely, yet, I find both kinds of weather equally unbearable.

Humans have no instruction manual... Junior High School would have been easier... Had I NOT moved from halfway across the country after finding a "friend" whom I wish I still had by my side. My parents had good reasons... I believed them.
