HELP ME.

My grandparents wont stop talking about the ducks who chill in their backyard. They wont stop talking about a penguin documentary-movie that's coming out that they're dying to see. They're kind of boring. I'm not sure when exactly they grew old, but it must've been within the last year or two. Suddenly they're very cautious and slow, and they tend to get annoyed/cranky easily. Yesterday my grandma and I were walking across a parking lot, and she tripped on a curb. I almost shit my pants. She just kind of lay on the sidewalk for several minutes, holding her knee. I asked her if she was alright, and she said, "yes", but she just stayed on the ground. She finally got up after a woman came over and started to talk to her.
Now my grandparents bicker constantly (my grandma seems especially fond of this), and it's terrible seeing them this way. They seem almost aimless. I think my visit here is beneficial in some ways. Since I'm here, they're finding things to do and places to go.
Today, for example, we went to the Book Barn, and they seemed to have fun. The Book Barn, btw, is this AWESOME used book store in New London, CT. It's comprised of several houses-turned-bookshops. There are kitties everywhere, and they even have 3 goats lurking in a pen outside. They used to have this sweet old dog named Bandit, but he died last year. I bought, "Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffman, and "The Twelve Wild Swans" by Starhawk and Hilary Valentine. They should be interesting reads.
I'm not sure when I'm going back to the city; probably within a day or two. My dad is going to Vermont on Tuesday to pick up my brothers, and he wants me to have my doctor's appointment and eye exam before they come. I'm anxious to see my brothers again, but we wont be able to spend much time with each other. My departure for the summer camp is quickly arriving (8 days!), and I still have lots of preparations I have to make for it. Even though it'll take up most of my summer, I do look forward to starting work. It'll be a tough job, but I expect it to be a fulfilling one too. Alright, alright, enough of that cheesy oprah-feeling crap for now. I'll catch you guys on flip side ^_^
