On one hand i've been grateful for networking/friend sites. It enables one, in this busy, hectic, modern life to maintain a semblance of relationship with those we care about, but i think i'm in the latter of some kind of shifting generation of the days before cell phones and online anything, to now relying on a plasticized, pseudo-meaningful interaction with each other via staring at a screen to feel important.
What happened to fishing with your buddies, camping with your friends, girls nights that didn't reference sarcasm that was said somewhere online, or just being in a room together and not feeling like you had to bring up some new part of technology?
Forgive me for being "old-fashioned" but i love human interaction. I would prefer to see an index finger and a connective glance of the eyes than another brb any day. I think that's why there are so many self-help medications, therapists, and mind-numbing drugs out there. Further instilling the idea that we should feel bad and somewhat strange for not feeling connected to each other any more.
