more fun with food

Last night, I went out on a walk with tiger_spot, brooksmoses, and Galen.  Meandering through downtown, we stopped at a grocery store that I might acquire more eggs.  Simple, banal even.  You're wondering why I'm even blogging about this, I'm sure.

Except that I found this exciting new (to me) product while I was there:

What is the taste of Vermont, you might ask?  I'm pleased to say that I can tell you.  Vermont, apparently, tastes like a mixture of bananas, honey, cheese, peanut butter, soy sauce powder, chutney of unknown composition, cocoa, apples, and MSG.  (Also palm oil, spices, and assorted preservatives.)  Or maybe that's just the Vermont region of Japan?

I don't know that this will ever grace tourism publications.  But once I try it, I will post as to how it compares with my experience of Stowe and Burlington.  Contrarily, would anyone be interested in making a dinner of this?  We can do tofu instead of meat.  The box says it will feed six, and I'm sure with veggies and over rice we could stretch it if needed.  (Or get a second box.)
