A Poem for mid-Autumn

Nov 22, 2012 02:39

wrote this at sunset 2 days ago.
first poem I've written in quite some time,
AND the first poem I've ever written that rhymes. lol

"November In Tennessee"

Winter is calling,
The leaves - falling.
Autumn fading,
Frost - invading.
Among Shadows of barren trees,
The straw of Fall-
Still dancing in November's breeze.

The change is here,
Another year,
Soon twinkling lights will re-appear.
In every home across the state,
these nights become forever late.
And yet it comes and goes too soon,
These changing phases of our Sun and Moon.
