I've been away for most of a month and I'm trying to get back into things, so forgive me for not commenting- there's also a lot I want to read, but I'm so behind it'll probably take months~

OMG! I totally used to write fic in the SW Expanded universe! Haven't read yet, too excited to see this blast from the past! Will comment further!

I did too, but I think I was something like twelve then so we shall never speak of it again! :D Anything I'd be interested in reading, though? =)

Maybe? They were my first fan fic attempts, somewhat older than twelve at the time and the two long stories are unfinished. There's a link to the stories on my journal page. They are all kinda fluffy except for "Best Intentions", which is undoubtedly the best written but not near complete.

Heh, everyone I find in fandom seems to have shipped Jaina/Kyp! I suspect that a decade later, my shipping preferences may change (I've never been much of a Kyp fan to begin with, no matter how open a mind I've been keeping on this reread. But that might just be KJA's writing. :/).

I actually hadn't read the KJA books before starting the NJO series, so I came into Kyp from a different perspective I suppose. When I finally read that trilogy I was appalled!

I actually quite adore Jag Fel (I have a cat named after him), even played him in an RP back in the day. Just not with Jaina Solo, except for the one fic I decided to start (and not finish) that was Jag/Jaina

I like the idea of Jag/Jaina quite a bit (though I also ship Buffy/Riley and it feels very similar), but I seem to have been in the minority- but this reread might change my mind, idk.

I started on the KJA books back when I was graduating from Young Jedi Knights to the adult books, so I had no recollection of them being that bad. I think my major Kyp issues come from the same place as my issues with Willow in S7- there's no real consequence for his actions beyond his own regret, and by the end of the trilogy they're already painting him as a hero. And I think that soured him for me early on, but I'm hoping the superior writing in NJO will win me over again! :)
