Well, this week has been jam packed so far and it’s only Wednesday! My class is from 9am-5pm everyday and we have a test every morning. Makes for very long day and then I drive home, change and get to the church so I can be there by 5:45pm to be smiling and ready when the kids in my Vacation Bible School crew get there! The theme for the week is Serengeti Trek. The whole thing is super adorable. There is a group that came up from Florida to run the camp. There really have done amazing things and the women in charge is marvelous. She is so energetic all the time. I thought I was going to be in the preschool so I was just going to be babysitting this week (and hopefully able to study some while I watched the kids) but they had a lack of leaders so I ended up with one of the groups. The preschoolers would have been more beneficial for studying, but I love my group. They are absolutely delightful. They mixed the ages up so all the kids would interact which I was a little wary of at first, but it has actually turned out well. I have two 5 year olds, one 6 year-old, a 7seven year old, a 9 year old, and a 10 year old. The 9 year old is the only boy and he has kind of become my co-counselor. He is as ornery as anything, but everyday he memorizes the schedule and then tells me where we need to go. He also leads the girls to each activity as we go… charming. They keep me on my toes and I’m exhausted by the time I get home, but little kids are incredible. This week has made me really miss camp. I got a letter from Brooke yesterday (she’s in my webshots) she was one of my favorite campers and she sent the letter from camp saying her new counselors just weren’t as cool as I was …. Well yea! Hahaha, I miss those kids like crazy. Alrighty, well, back to studying for this kid. I got a perfect score on my first test… way to go me! I’ll get today’s test grade tomorrow. And I have to study now for tomorrow’s test. Two more days of class! Its is going to feel soooooo good when all of this is over!
