Ever had one job not help you with anything, and yet another just comes and makes your life better? It happened to me.
My last job (dishwasher/food prep at a diner) fell through. Why? Didn't do my job? Nope. Showed up late? Nope. So riddle me this... how is it that I only get 10 hours a freaking week while you're giving the lazy twits 20 for standing around with a thumb up their ass?
Really? If I could have been paid to stand around with a thumb up my ass, I wouldn't need a job. But I can tell you what finger I DID use after I told him I quit. I had never outright quit a job before, but if I can't be trained to do something (and given the hours), there's no point in staying. So, I quit that POS.
(At least my new job pays more, gives me more hours, and more training. And they're a company, something he should learn from.)
Now, my new job has me making desserts and pasta. Simple, huh? Uh... no.
Just... no.
Three weeks in, and I already love the job. The problem is... it's a lot of prep work, and most of it isn't done by the time I get there. Really, people?! Does it really take fifteen minutes to restock breadsticks, cut garlic bread, or even make sure we have enough lasagna to feed Garfield the cat before I show up?!
I love challenges, but man, really?
bad boss,
new job
