Post office isn't a child friendly environment, but it's customary for people to bring new babies in to show every body. When I was off for a year, I'd bring my kids in once every three months, to fill out a new leave slip and to socialize. It was also an 'In your face, jerks' to the people who thought I couldn't have kids.

A few times, school kids on field trip came in to watch us work. The supervisors would bring them by me because I'm good pr. I like my job and have an upbeat attitude.

I approve of this comment!

I recall enjoying stamps a lot when I was a kid, don't suppose yours have gotten interested at all?

I also enjoyed having a lot of pen pals.

LOL, no, I haven't even showed them stamps yet. They love stickers, and the last thing I want to happen is to suddenly hear them going 'STICKIES! STICKIES' because they found my hidden roll of stamps and started sticking them everywhere. :-D

... yeah, I'd wait until they're a bit older and realize that stamps = money.

I dragged a friend to the Postal Museum in DC, expecting him to not enjoy himself as he's not interested in stamps or the postal service or anything, but he had a blast.

I'd recommend a visit if you ever find yourself in DC. There are a lot of cool activities for kids and grown-up kids!
