Josh Heidbrink -- "Takin' one for the Lord..."
Greeley is once again highlighted in the media with the news about Joshua Heidbrink being shot while serving a mission in Chesapeake, Virginia. Though he survived, his companion wasn't so lucky.
Josh is a good bud of mine... IM'd me this morning at 6:23am, though I was not awake to chat with him (DRAT!). He was in young men's program at church whilst I was in the young men's presidency. He is a ham radio operator (KBØLFV) as is his dad, Richard (KBØLFU).
Missions can be scary things. I think the worst that happened to me was getting a rock to the back of the head, and being chased off somebody's land by a machete-weilding man.
Anyway, our thoughts and prayers go out to this brave man, for a speedy recovery.
