This is for
snapesgirl_62's prompt: Evan/Severus and Lace Stockings, Make-Up, Roses and Ale. This one only hits the Make-Up word, but this may not the only one I'll do from that list. *L* Gimme prompts

When Evan's pot of rouge went missing, he assumed he'd merely left it somewhere by accident and that it would turn up on its own soon enough. It wasn't the first time one of his cosmetics had gone missing, nor did he think it would be the last, so he wasn't that bothered by it.
When his favourite lipstick went missing from his pocket a few days later, he assumed it had fallen out on the way to or from class and that one of the other students would find and return it to him within the week.
When his eyeliner went missing from his bedside table in the middle of the night, Evan started to suspect someone might just be nicking his make-up.
When the sentry charm he'd set on his trunk alerted him that someone was messing with his pots of eye shadow, he fled Quidditch practice, ignoring the captain's threatening yells as he hastened back to his dorm to catch the culprit.
He flew down the stairs, yelled the password, rounded the corner, and barged into his dorm room only to come to a complete stop, shocked at the sight that greeted him. Severus sat frozen in the middle of the floor, the missing make-up arrayed nearly before him, a mirror clutched in one hand and his wand in the other. From what Evan could tell, he'd been trying - rather unsuccessfully - to spell the stuff on.
Evan recovered first, loudly demanding, "What on Earth do you think you're doing?!"
Evan's words snapped Severus out of his stupor and he looked down, blushing as he apologised, "I'm sorry, Imp, I really am, I just - " but Evan interrupted him, forestalling any further excuses.
"Red lipstick, Sev? With your complexion? Merlin, you look like a vampire!" Evan tsked at him. "You should try the pink one. I mean, not the sparkly, shiny, light one, but the dark carnation... and that shade of green? You look like a tart, and I don't mean that in a good way. Purple or blue - the right blue - would look better, or maybe just dark brown. And you... you didn't use any foundation or concealer, did you? They help keep it all even. And Sev, I don't care what your mother does - never spell it on. It wastes too much and never looks good. You need the personal touch, the slight imperfections in application, you get from the brushes or it doesn't look right. Next time, you need to -"
"Next time?" Severus asked, surprised. "You mean... you're not mad at me?"
"You should have asked, yeah? And curiosity killed the Gryffindor or something, but I would have probably done the same in your place, though I don't think I would have tried..." he trailed off, shaking his head. "Is it for 'Bast or the other one?"
"Neither," Severus answered, blushing. "It's for me."
"oh. Well, good on you then," Evan replied, satisfied. "Especially since it probably would have scared off your little Gryffindork if you'd shown up looking like that. Not that that would be a bad thing..."
"Evan!" Severus huffed, but the other boy just stood there smirking. They stayed there for a few minutes before Severus got up the nerve to ask, "So these weren't... weren't what I should have been using?" Evan shook his head. "Then, um, could you, you know, maybe show me what I should use then? And how - "
Evan dove for his trunk, pulling out a half dozen brushes and several pots of colour before sitting back, apparently satisfied with his choices. He flashed Severus a quick grin before going serious as he began to explain, "All right, this is your foundation..."
