The Alien
It's very frustrating when the talents you depend on so much in your daily life don't help in a situation. There are aliens I cannot sense -- Betazoids in general cannot read certain species, Ferengi being among them. I suppose it makes sense that the non-corporeal alien we suspect is behind all of our difficulties would be beyond my range, though not all of them are.
I have joined in the efforts to locate Data. He's perfectly capable of covering his tracks if he steals a shuttle or beams off the ship, and since he can survive in space if he has to, he really could be anywhere. Though we've not discovered any missing shuttles or torpedo casings, that may change. We may be down to physically searching every nook and cranny, as he can work magic with the computer to cover his activity, but we'll find him.
I wish that I could better sense him. Since his emotion chip was installed, I've detected emotion from him (though it's not precisely like what I detect from organic beings, it's readable on some level) but when he turns it off he's invisible to me.
