It's really nice to come home from a scout leader meeting with the feeling that we've actually managed to do what we had planned.
We decided to move the event we had planned for this weekend to the spring, 'cause we did not have enough enrolments and not enough helpers, so we thought it better to wait than to ruing what is promising to be a really cool event.
Then we talked about Ranger, and almost finish the invite for our next Ranger meet. We got Gina written up on the mail list, so she'll get the invite too. And we came up with a plan for how to work the economy side of the Range group, since we don't really have any money to work with.
After dinner we planned the meetings for the scouts for the rest of the year. Decided how to finish up their next patch (which will also be the first, they'll be receiving). And got the first meetings in the new year planned.
We also managed to come up with a plan for what to do with the next senior meeting, which I get to run, that's nice, 'cause I really like dealing with the seniors. They are more demanding and at the same time a lot easier than the scouts. They'll also have deserved a patch after their next meeting.
I also ended up getting responsibility for our next joint meeting, which I'm planning on inviting Camilla to help me plan. Among the leaders we have started to refer to her as my apprentice. That of course have me thinking Padawan, but I kinda think I'm along in that thought, but well I'm also the only SW fan in the group, that I know of at least. But that'll chance if (I'm hoping when) Gina gets to be part of the group for real.
On top of all that I came home to see the info about the leader academy, I've enrolled in, had come. So now I have a bit more info than just the date. It's not this weekend, but the next. And I'm really looking forward to seeing what it is. I hope to learn some useful stuff and become better as a leader. But we'll see what happens.
For now I think I'm gonna use my last useful eyesight this evening to finish of some info notes my scouts need to get tomorrow, which has to go out on mail to the other leaders 'cause I'm going to this thing at DTU tomorrow instead of the scout meeting.
