I know you've all waved me off a bazillion time before, but I'm going to say bye anyway. Please take care of yourselves!!
I'll be continuing to use LJ in my self-involved way: occasional postings with tales of cracky pax, bush mechanics and derring-do, but not much browsing of the f'list, boo. Please feel free to comment here or email or whatever if there's something you think I should know. Getting mail when far from home is always nice. Heck, just tell me about some really great cheese you had for lunch. I miss cheese.
Panamerican Highway from the air, Nazca, Peru
I also wasn't very good at sending postcards last time, but S.America is a little more developed and we also stay in more towns rather than camping in the bush, so...anyone wanting random postcards who hasn't previously given their address, head over here, where comments are screened. Anyone whose address has changed since late 2009 might want to put their new one, too.

Mainly for colej55 and hikkup: after that I'm thinking of sticking around for Carnival and then maybe seeing if I can add the Ushuaia run to my contract, if I feel up to it. I love wide open spaces - and it doesn't get much more wide open than Patagonia - plus Torres del Paine looks stunning.

Then, that Asia trans with Cat that I've mentioned previously? It's a no-go; understandably that route isn't done with two female crew. Bummer. Not sure what the deal is with W.Africa, but Cat's set on Asia, so if I did want to crew with her, I'd have to wait anyways. Maybe India and meet her out there? Dunno.
