no this is not a news report on the current quality of home construction sites. this is going to be my future home with GY. it's still pretty much in the thick of renovation at the moment, and GY's been doing a great job overseeing/coordinating the contractors and electricians and plumbers and tilers and painters and roofers every single day since they started work almost 2 months back. saturdays and sundays included. monitoring renovation works is really a full time job in itself, i'm quite amazed at how he juggles.
even though it's nowhere near ready at the moment, we're hoping this place can be inhabitable in a couple of weeks, just before our wedding. there're still a lot of details to look into and furniture to buy (we're moving in with just a bed, a couch, a washing/drying machine and some chairs), but all in good time. meanwhile, much as a part of me can't bear to leave my home for 27 years, i also can't wait to begin our new life here together :)
