So I have passed my one year at the City, and I have come pretty far! Actually getting a job with the city (which is pretty hard, and a Clerk 3 position is even harder) Got my HR position, which isn't an HR job because the city's HR department doesn't want HR people in other branches (Convoluted and confusing right?)

But I still haven't had my elusive yet necessary review.  I was supposed to get one at 3 months, 6 months, and a year. Now over a year later, still nothing. Unlike the other Union I deal with, who starts out everyone at top wage, my union has pay steps. So I can't move up those pay steps without a review. Now this morning as I was stilling in my "Boss"' office updating people on what needs to be done with positions, I see that not only that the girl who took over for me is at two pay steps higher than myself, but she just got her 3 month review done.....  getting another raise. This is by the boss who was supposed to do my three and six month review. Of course I am livid now. After a crappy Friday (Lets just say I almost quit) and then to see this.... I told my "boss" you know it would be nice if I finally got my review, my three month review. Well she assumed that was done 9 months ago when she sent out the paperwork for it do be done. So I guess if this isn't resolved by the end of the week I am going to the Union, who knows what they will do about it, but I am rather upset. I don't want to have to find another job, I probably won't find one that pays as good, or with the benefits I have, but I also don't like getting dicked around like this.

Other news is they still haven't hired my boss yet, and the guy he is supposed to be learning from is due to retire December 1st. Sounds like all the interviews they did are for not, so who knows what is going to occur. All I know is that the recruitment clerk can't tell me anything until someone says something. So its a huge secret.

I'm not too sure I am enjoying working for public industry anymore.
