A long while...

Well well an update from dear ol Cncert finally... It really wont be a long one... I havent been one for words lately obviously... Picking up from my last entry I saw Final Drive from MTV's Battle For Ozzfest at Ground Zero not too long after my last update... An amazing show it was... A damn shame the crowd wasnt bigger... There were only like 8 cars in the parking lot... Maybe 20 people tops... But they played just like there were 20,000 people there... The sign of a true band that loves what theyre doing and who theyre doing it for... Got to hang out with them before the show and talked to Chelsea about the show... Ahmad is just the dickhead he was portrayed to be and Adair was just as cool as he seemed to be... Jordan their singer was absolutely amazing as well... Super cool guy all around... We talked a lot about music ranging from who they had played with to influences to one of my favorite underrated bands K's Choice... You can see pictures of me with Chelsea as well as with Jordan on my webpage... They said at the end of their set that they would be back on 03/17 with Shadows Fall... I'll touch on that one later... Superbowl Sunday was a good day... Just relaxed and got to enjoy that for all it was worth... Then the next day I saw Shinedown at the Handlebar... HOLY FUCK was that an amazing show... Many thanks and Kudos to my buddy Myles at the Planet for hooking me up last minute with freebie tickets... I didnt get there til late but I was still 6th in line... I was front row and there was no barricade... The first opening band was No Address and they werent too great at all... Theory Of A Deadman was the 2nd band and they were pretty good... I really liked that song they had on the radio a summer or 2 ago called Make Up Your Mind... Shinedown just came out and kicked everyones arses... They opened with In Memory and closed with No More Love and then came back out and did Simple Man, 45, and Left out for the encore... The full setlist for anyone who gives a shiat is as follows...

01. In Memory
02. Stranger Inside
03. Fly From The Inside
04. Better Version
05. Burning Bright
06. No More Love
--------------------------
07. Simple Man
08. 45
09. Left Out

It looks like a short set but it was a little over an hour long... Got to meet the band after the show too... Got my cd signed and you can see a picture of me and Brent on my webpage... A damn good show and a night I wont soon forget... That weekend my good buddy Dewey from Ohio was in town visiting his friend Karen... I finally got to actually meet him... We went to Sonny's BBQ in Anderson and went in the Bed Bath & Beyond there where we managed to offend this old bag working there when Karen mentioned something about hitting her head on the headboard of the bed when her boyfriend got into town in a few weeks... She gave her a strange look... I think it was more of jealousy... I dont think the old bag had been laid in quite sometime... Went to Best Buy and me and Dewey shopped around in there as only 2 guys can then went back and just chilled out for a while before I headed home to catch the Grammy's... Some nice performances on there this year... Green Day was by far the best but the tribute to Janis Joplin by Melissa Etheridge and my favorite hottie to the max Joss Stone was excellent as well... Alicia Keys was also very good... U2 was great as well... I liked the performance of Sometimes You Can't Make It better than when they performed it on Saturday Night Live... The start of race season was the next weekend and damn was I glad to have that back... I didnt realize how addicted to racing I have gotten... The Daytona 500 was amazing and all I need to say about that was Jeff Gordon won... Same day as the 500 I went to see Motley Crue with a taper buddy of mine Tom ( KingReptile )... Big thanks to him for the freebie ticket to that... Even bigger thanks to his girlfriend for getting sick and allowing him to have an extra ticket for me... No offense to her... ;-) There was a MUCH bigger crowd there than I expected there to be... They damn near had the place sold out... Except for like 100 or so seats at the far end up the upper level... A damn spiffy show... They didnt have an opening band... They opened with Shout At The Devil and played for almost 2 hours before closing with Kickstart My Heart and coming back out to do an encore of Helter Skelter and Anarchy In The UK... The setlist for that is as follows for anyone who gives a shiat...

Shout At The Devil

It was good to meet Tom and his buddy Randy... It will be great to hang out with them again sometime... :-) Not much else going on really until my birthday... I got red highlights put in my hair and I got my orbital piercing in my left ear... For those who dont know its 1 ring that goes through 2 holes... Its a complicated piercing to do... And unfortunately I got the ring to small and had to go back 2 days later and get it changed out even though it was still a fresh piercing... Fark a mighties did that shiat ever hurt like a biatch... But I love the piercing... It looks really nice... No pictures of it yet but Ill get em eventually... Ive got pictures of my new hair and if ya wanna see those just ask... Im still taking opinions on it... :-) Went to see Shadows Fall & Final Drive on thursday night which turned out to be a disaster... That morning the cable company fucked up the scheduling of the installation of my DVR... I had a bitch of a time getting a parking place downtown with my dad... I had the change outt of my orbital I was mentioning... My dad left his wallet in my car and I had to go all the way back to take it to him... And to top the night off I got to the show and Final Drive had cancelled... So that wasnt a good day... Now I am dreading going back to work after my week off... I so hate that job its beyond words... Its such a bad environment to be in... It brings me down on so many levels and I am so much better than being there... I am on the lookout hardcore for a new job... In other news signups for classes start April 2nd and I am deadset on going back to school... The light at the end of the " get the fuck out of retail " tunnel is shining bright and school is my only ticket... I will be doing med lab... I want a nice job M-F with good hours... Hopefully med lab will get me that... If nothing else its a reason to cut back on hours at work... I WILL have the last laugh on that place as well as one person in particular... Picked up Better Than Ezra Greatest Hits on my birthday as well... Ive loved those guys for quite a while... Way back when the Friction Baby cd came out... They were also one of the first bands that I ever met way back at 99X Big Day Out '98... Not much you can say about a greatest hits cd... This coming tuesday the new TRUSTcompany cd comes out... Only $6.99 at Best Buy... A steal... Go out and buy it phuckers... Its one of my most anticipated cds of the year... Also plan on picking up The Exies cd... I really like that song they have out now called Ugly... Anyway I must be going for now... This has turned into a long update... Id really like to do an update more often so I can add more details instead of doing these long entries and leaving lots of shiat out... Hopefully I will get better at it... Until next time...

P.S. : Thanks for the birthday card Leigh... You were the only person other than my mom to give me one... It really made me smile... :-)
