Biggest WTF this week.
So the biggest WTF this week was. *drumroll*
So I watched all of last season and really didn't love the show all that much. I hesitantly downloaded the new episoide and prayed Russel T.Davies was too busy messing up Doctor Who to write this new ep of Torchwood.
Omg the first ep was AMAZING. Slashy ianto/jack bits were amazing, none of the characters really annoyed me and I loved the fact that they were all able to still do their work even though they missed their boss. Seriously better than Voyage of the Damned IMO.
And I figured out what I really hate about New Who. It's because R.T. Davies is like the rest of humanity, he's rejecting this exploration of space. The new and final frontier. If you think about it, the 1950,1960's were more about science and learning about our world and the possibilities of worlds out there than today. The arms race created a unique experience where it was more about being the first than seeing how many bombs we can make. Shame really. Not to say there aren't people out their today doing this, but as a collective consiousness people on the whole don't care as much. We're still looking to the future, but only the immediate future, the ones with faster cellphones or computers.
Which is okay, because if I had the choice of space or exploring Earth I'd probably choose earth. If I had a choice between watching something on Earth or a different colony in outer space, I'd want the outerspace.
Anyways that's my thoughts on yaoi. :B
