It's gonna be a soccer player...
So we had our 2nd baby appointment today, I'm 13 weeks along for whomever is counting. And we did the oh so fun blood tests and uterus checks. You know the usual. And the doctor let us listen to the baby's heart beat again. She said it was very strong and sounds very healthy. As we were listening we heard this "whoosh" sound. The Dr laughed and said the baby was kicking and anytime you hear that it is moving around. Then the baby started "whooshing" up a storm. She said, "wow, someone's really active today". It was funny.
The cutest thing though was watching Mike. Cause when I first heard the "whoosh" I wasn't sure what it was so the Dr explained it to us and then Mike's face lit up, it was like "oh wow, it is actually a living moving thing and it is having a ball in Crystal's belly". You could just see it on his face. The whole rest of the day he was like a proud Papa.
That does explain a lot though. My mom bought us one of those home baby heartbeat monitor thingys and we've been listening to the heartbeat usually before we go to bed. Naturally ours isn't as sophisticated as the ones at the Dr's office but we can hear it none the less. We had also heard the whooshing sounds but I just thought I had moved my hand while I was holding it on my belly or something. It's crazy. Plus then Mike always tries to listen to his belly and then sometimes he'll listen to the Kitty too. What can I say, I married a big kid.
I DO have to report to jury duty tomorrow so I'm excited. I really hope I get picked to serve on a jury, I think it would be a neat experience. But most likely I won't even get called before the lawyers to be questioned. We'll see.
We did a little more yard work today, we actually made some progress this time. Last time we got about half way done and then decided to finish the next day. Wouldn't you just know it that it stormed really hard that night and messed up everything we had worked so hard for and then some. Hopefully that doesn't happen this time. We also really gotta finish unpacking and cleaning the house because my mom gets here soon. Yay!
