Time for a real update
Ok, here goes my first real update in a while.
Friday I had the day off. It was fantastic. I spent the day with Jaime, running errands and such. We made a special trip to the Roadhouse so I could check my schedule and listened to Elvis the entire way there. I love that Jaime will listen to that kind of stuff with me and actually enjoy it! Anyway, walked in and found out that my buddy wasn't working, which kind of made me happy because that meant I could see him later on. So me and Jaime go back to my house, get some food, and wait for Erika to show up. After some more errands, we finally track down Erika and head off to the movies with her and Amanda. We saw "The Perfect Man"...now don't laugh, but I loved it! And no, Erika, I did not bawl! I just teared up ok?? It related to my life, I could understand it and it made me a little sad...I am not a cry baby! After that, I got dropped off at my car and made the trip to hang out with above mentioned buddy. I met him up at Slips, had a few beers, met some of his friends and then headed home. We tried to watch Donnie Darko, but I got too scared of that damn giant bunny thing! The voice creeped me out. So in go cartoons...well, stupid Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but at least it wasn't scary. And, I got to spend time with my new friend, which was great.
Saturday...work all day. Which is definitely no fun. New friend went out on a boat, and I am jealous. Jaime went on a date and it went fantastic though and that made the night good. What made the night better was the 3 1/2 hour phone call I had with my new friend. It's nice to connect with someone like I connect with him.
Sunday. More work. This time I see new friend because he works the morning shift. He told me I looked cute in my hat with my pigtails...I knew he would! See, I kind of sound like an 8th grader with a crush...which is exactly how I feel. As he was leaving he told me to give him a call when I got out of work and we would try to make it through another movie. Work was great that night. I was in a great mood! Plus I made a ton of money in tips. $120 on a Sunday night is not too bad. Plus I had some old guys hit on me, always a good time. Got off work, took a shower, and went to new friend's apartment. This time the movie wasn't so scary and we watched I Heart Huckabees, which I really liked! It was funny and had a really smart plotline and sub-plotline. I like that this new friend of mine understands the types of things I like. I feel like I've found someone that appreciates that sometimes I can actually be intelligent. Most guys I've been with don't like that side of me, but new friend thinks it's great! After the movie it's more Aqua Teen Hunger Force, included one of my favorites with the crazy Happy Pants Harry Doll..too funny!
Today was great. Got up and hung out with my mom, which was great. I got to tell her about my new friend. Then new friend calls and we go out to get sushi. I had only ever tried California rolls, and being that I trust my new friend, I let him order other things for me. It was great! I loved it all and he even taught me to use chopsticks, which he had to be laughing at. Seriously, I was shocked I was actually able to pick the stuff up. But it was all great and he's great and the day was great. Now the Tiger's are in town (his other job) so I won't see him for probably about a week. But he promised to call and there is a day off in the home series, so we might go lay out by the pool that day. And if not, he set aside tickets for me to come watch one of the games. We play the Yankees this weekend and he is trying to cope with my Derek Jeter obssession. I would go see the Tigers play the Royals if it meant I could hang out with him! After I left his place, I picked up Jaime and we went to Applebees. Good times gushing about the new men in our lives. Hopefully this will work out for the both of us.
Ok, now it's off to bed. I have to work tomorrow. Sounds like no fun, right?
