a new career high

The past week has been nuts. Especally with two out-of-state tournaments in two weeks. Last week in milwaukee, we didn't do too great. It was a national tournament so teams as far as arizona state and unlv were there. There was about 40 teams there so you can get an idea of just how big of a tournament it was. Saginaw Valley actually ended up winning it. In case your unaware, saginaw valley has one of the best teams in the country. They actually offer full ride scholarships to bowl there and you actually have to maintain a 190 average just to make the team.
This week was a little bit different. 30 team conference tournament in ohio. Being our 2nd tournament we had a little more experience and we were a bit more relaxed. We ended up in like 15th out of 30 teams and when you compare the fact that we have like a 7 person club team and some schools have 3 separate teams and give full rides, we were pretty happy with that standing. I actually bowled a 257 and beat my career high by 17 pins! My first 9 frames were 8 strikes and 1 9-spare. That game our team really had it going and bowled a 1080, which is about a 215 average per person that game. We actually had the highest score for that game out of all 40 teams so we gloated a little that we beat saginaw valley that game. In the end it was a lot more fun than last week. It really helped me relax after a really hectic week. Oh, and by the way, the two saginaw valley teams ended up 1st and 2nd place.

Our next tournament is october 29th and it was originally going to be in saginaw but it got moved to westland. I was also originally going to miss it because of the stephen lynch concert but because it got moved i can actually do both! It should be fun because now a lot of people can come watch and it's not too far of a drive.

Tommorrow is going to be a great day i think. My parents and my mom's sisters are coming up, plus it is my first official day of refing intramural flag football so it should be interesting.

Stephen Lynch in 21 days!
