Also, after hearing Marty Caseys original ("Trees") last week, i have become a fan. His old band was called Lovehammers. and there is a full, unabridged studio version of "Trees" out there.
J.D. still sucks and needs to go. Suzie has a great voice and could pull off a win. MiG is talented, but I think the lyrics in the 2 original songs he's done were really pushing the limits of what I could stand as far as cheese goes.
Only a couple weeks left, and I still don't really know who will win.
What will I do on tuesday nights when this is over?
I'm not sure how many people who read this remember the old "rock room" back at the Lexington apartment. I'm sure Chris and Mo do. It was the spare room, we kept our guitars there. a couple small amps. really a good idea, but we never really did much with it.
Well, the room in the basement of the house... the room that at one time was to become the recording studio (we found it much easier to bring the mixing boards to the computer than vice versa, so now in a matter of minutes, either bedroom can me turned into the studio) ... anyway, this room is now rock room version 2.0. Full P.A. system with 16 channel board. 3 elecric acoustic guitars available. 2 electric guitars available. 3 mics (with stands). 2 acoustic amps (including my beast of a roland). an electric amp, and a whole mess of cords. and the best part? if you walk upstairs and go outside, you really can't hear it unless you're listening for it. it's such a solid old house that it just absorbs all the sound. In the last week, there have been at least 3 late night jam sessions (late night meaning, 2:00 am or so). good times, good times.
